Grateful for the moment!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post! Things have been a bit crazy but I have been savoring every moment! A wiser person than I once said "these are the good old days". Meaning don't look back and wish you were living in the past and don't look forward wishing you were already there. Enjoy now! Make memories today! I think Gary and I have done a really great job at savoring every moment! We have never put yard work over driving to the coast for lunch, and chores around the house never keep us from spending time with each other or those we love(although our house is pretty clean!lol!). I am grateful at my ripe old age of 28 that I am savoring...that is really 1 thing in this life I feel like I have figured out (it is probably the only thing I have figured out so far!)...to savor every moment and make an adventure out of it! Praise God! I am feeling a bit reminiscent...in case you can't tell! We lost a very dear friend today...Denny. He was truly a remarkable man who will be missed tremendously! Please pray for his family...
On a much happier note here are some cute pics from the last month or so...ENJOY!
These are the good old days!

It was a long year but my mom and dad battled through it together! I am so proud of them! Please continue to keep them in your prayers!

Sister time!

We have had a great 2 weeks! Shayna was home visiting during her break from Hume. Chelsea came up for a weekend and then she met us all down in San Diego a few weekends ago too! So Makenzie has had great quality time with both her wonderful sisters! :) She LOVES being around them! And they are so great with her! Gary loves having all his girls at home! :) We always have so much fun together! I miss you both!

San Diego!

Last week we went to San Diego for a few days! We had a FANTASTIC time visiting with G's mom and sister...poor Uncle Mot was sick! We missed you Tom! Grandma gave Makenzie a purple brush and a beautiful holder for it...She is in LOVE with the thing! I am so afraid she is going to break it! But so far she has been very careful! Makenzie was a champ the whole trip! We can't wait to see you all again! We love you! :)

Makenzie playing with Grandma and her bear. Grandma happens to be wearing Makenzie's favorite color too! PURPLE!

Does that bear look familiar to anyone? D? It is a Shy Bear from my brother's company...Beverly Hills Teddy Bear. I actually sent it to G's mom when we 1st dating I think...I have loved G's Mom from the 1st time I met her...she is great lady! :)

The girls all playing and laughing on the bed.

Great Easter!

Today Makenzie amazed me again! So the last couple of nights when we have been putting Maki down we have sung the old but amazing song of "Jesus loves me"...we have changed some of the words at times to..."Jesus loves Makenzie"...well last night when I was singing to her she wanted to to change the words to "Jesus loves Daddy" and "Jesus loves Mommy"...so cute! So tonight when Gary was carrying Mak down the hallway from her bath I heard her say "Jesus la la May-May" Translation: Jesus loves Makenzie. It was the cutest thing EVER! I have prayed and dreamt of this moment since before she was born! I know she has no real understanding of what the words Jesus loves me means, but to have her say them on Easter was just an amazing blessing to G and me! Actually now that I think about it, do I even really understand what it means that Jesus loves me...I probably won't this side of Heaven. THANK YOU JESUS! :)

Here are some photos of the day! In some of the pics she has her Easter dress on...that is also the dress she wore in Josh and Em's wedding! Thank you Carrie for sending all those dresses that Camryn wore a few years ago! :)

Yes, Shayna's hair is dark now...she looks beautiful blond or dark! :)

I have not introduced Granny yet on the blog...Granny is Makenzie's 3rd Grandmother (she already has 2 AMAZING ones as well!) Granny was a neighbor a few years ago when I was pregnant and she would always come outside and visit with Gary and me when we would walk by her house. And from the very beginning she has been an amazing friend to us and Grandmother to Makenzie. Over the last few years we have grown really close with her...she really is part of the family now! She came over last week and taught me how to make an amazing Hungarian goulash...let me know if you want the recipe! We are very blessed to have her in our life! Makenzie loves it when she gets to see Granny! :)

Yummy Cake!

Hotel Da La Sumner!

Sorry I haven't posted lately we have had company! We have had my cousin Sara, my Mom and Chelsea all within the last week! And Shayna is coming today for almost 2 weeks! YEAH! I only have the pics with Sara downloaded right now I will put more up later in the week!
Makenzie is absolutely in LOVE with Sara! Sara is a fantastic dancer (she is focusing Hip Hop) and she taught Mak some moves...it was so CUTE! She is very coordinated for 21 months! Makenzie wanted Sara to put her down for bed and Sara did a GREAT job! We loved having her here and hope she comes back SOON! :)

Still laughing!

We were on a walk today and Makenzie sneezed, of course Gary and I said "bless you" and she said "AMEN!" It was the cutest thing ever...there was an older couple walking by and they saw the whole interaction and I could tell it just made their day...it made mine too!

I can not get the image out of my mind and hopefully never will! It is one of those moments in life that you remember the place and time forever...YEAH! I guess she is listening when we pray with her! :)

***I will post more pics later this week...
